What does a NetSuite consultant actually do?
I scope, build, fix and optimise NetSuite for businesses — from end-to-end implementations and data migration to custom SuiteScript, integrations, localisation and ongoing support. I work across the functional, technical and solution-architecture sides, so I can translate a finance requirement into a working system and back again.
Do you work fixed-price or time-and-materials?
Both. Well-scoped pieces of work suit a fixed price with clear deliverables; open-ended optimisation, support or discovery work usually suits time-and-materials. I'll recommend whichever genuinely fits the engagement rather than whichever suits me.
Can you rescue a NetSuite project that's gone off track?
Yes — project recovery is a core part of what I do. I diagnose what's stalled or broken, stabilise the immediate issues, and steer the implementation back to a successful go-live, whether the original work was done in-house or by another partner.
Do you build native SuiteScript or rely on third-party tools like Celigo?
My default for finance-critical integrations is native SuiteScript 2.1 — it keeps everything inside NetSuite's own audit trail, avoids ongoing iPaaS licence costs, and gives full control over mapping and error handling. I'll recommend a third-party platform only where it genuinely earns its place.
